LDA's step-by-step multi-sensory literacy programme for all dyslexic pupils has just got better! The publisher is replacing the original series with new editions of all six books, featuring fresh designs and new illustrations. Each new book will also include a colour card pack and an audio CD. Books 1-3 cover all the letters of the alphabet, and on completion of the third book pupils will have mastered consonant digraphs and consonant clusters. Books 4-6 (coming later) will be geared to the needs of slightly older pupils and introduce long vowels.

This new, revised edition retains all the strengths of the well-established "Beat Dyslexia" series to support those students struggling to read, write or spell. The comprehensive programme develops literacy skills by combining successful phonological approaches with the very best of conventional, multi-sensory and structured teaching methods.

The series takes pupils from the earliest stages of letter recognition through to full literacy. Using a wide range of imaginative approaches, the activities are carefully structured so that all the goals are small and attainable. Pupils gain confidence through consolidation and success as they develop their reading skills and build a sound understanding of basic spelling and grammar.

The wide variety of phonic activities are based on multi-sensory techniques that assist the teacher in maintaining pupils' interest and enthusiasm - making them ideal for those with short concentration spans.

Although primarily designed for dyslexic pupils of all ages, in one-to-one or small group sessions, the careful use of visual and aural approaches, in a clearly structured progression, make them suitable for any pupil struggling to acquire literacy skills. In-built assessment is provided through the progressive series of engaging reading passages and spelling tests.

Each Beat Dyslexia pack contains photocopiable activities, reading and spelling cards and an audio CD.

Returns

If your item does is not quite what you expected or is unsuitable for any other reason, we will happily take it back and refund your money but may have to charge additional postage. Any items returned to us must be in re-saleable condition. If an item is faulty we will of course replace it or refund your money if a replacement is unavailable. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered faulty. All faulty items must be returned to The Dyslexia Shop in the same condition as when it left our depot, in it’s original and undamaged packaging.
