While Dyslexics may have difficulty with writing, they are often capable of expressing their ideas very well verbally, so speech recognition has always seemed like a great way for dyslexics to get their ideas down on paper.

Unfortunately, speech recognition software must be trained to a person's voice and in the past this has meant the would-be user having to read substantial amounts of known text before the software could "learn" the user's voice well enough to transcribe it accurately.

The training process was tedious enough for anyone, but verging on impossible for anyone who finds fluent, error free reading a challenge. Even after a mind-numbing amount of training, the results were often disappointing.

Returns

If your item does is not quite what you expected or is unsuitable for any other reason, we will happily take it back and refund your money but may have to charge additional postage. Any items returned to us must be in re-saleable condition. If an item is faulty we will of course replace it or refund your money if a replacement is unavailable. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered faulty. All faulty items must be returned to The Dyslexia Shop in the same condition as when it left our depot, in it’s original and undamaged packaging.

We cannot take responsibility for returned items lost without proof of delivery and the item is your responsibility until it reaches us.
