MINE wasn���t a difficult book to write because I could see it all so clearly in my mind: Matt���s obsession with Shelly; his total belief that they were soulmates; her getting drunk after a break-up and things going so quickly out of control. But I suppose I had three main aims.
- to show that sometimes good people do bad things because they just don���t THINK.
- to show that even a relatively short event can have a profound effect on the people involved.
- that when sex and alcohol are combined, things can go dangerously wrong.
I hope though that readers of MINE won���t feel that it is all Matt���s fault. There are always two sides to every story, and that���s why I wrote the book.
