The Flat proSpoon was designed by feeding therapist Debbie Lowsky, MS, CCC-SLP, and is available in two versions: smooth or textured. The textured version has ribbed lines inside the bowl and gentle bumps on the back, giving tactile input to the upper lip, lower lip and tongue at the same time. This makes it useful for introducing texture to puréed foods such as yogurt, apple sauce or stage 1 baby foods.

The spoon measures approximately 5.3 inches (13.5cm) long, with a bowl measuring approximately 1.3 x 0.8 inches (3.3 x 2cm).
