One in a series of simple yet effective games, designed by primary school teacher Christine Towndrow. This game helps with practising simple punctuation.
The gameboard is a double-sided A3 size laminated card, with a game involving the full stop, comma and question mark printed on one side, and a game involving the exclamation mark, quotation marks and the apostrophe on the other. The counters are distributed evenly among the players. The players choose a punctuation mark by throwing the die. They then place a counter next to a sentence that is missing that punctuation mark (they may optionally write in the mark in the space provided using a dry-wipe pen). A throw of 1 is penalized by adding a counter to the player's pile, a throw of 6 is rewarded by removing a counter from the player's pile. The first player to place all their counters on the board is the winner.
