A lower-cost articulated stand for IPEVO P2V ULTRA and MP-8M cameras

The IPEVO Camera Stand LITE is a 3-joint articulated arm that holds the IPEVO MP-8M and P2V ULTRA document cameras using 3-sided magnetic heads. It lets teachers and SENCOs set the camera at the right height and angle to show worksheets, books and practical work on the board. Clear, enlarged images help dyslexic learners who find small or distant text hard to read.

How it helps

The multi-joint arm adjusts at several points, and the magnetic camera attachment rotates through 360 degrees, so the camera can face down at a desk or out towards the class. Magnetic mounting makes fitting and removing the camera quick, so staff can move between stand, clamp and handheld use during a lesson.

  • Turns an MP-8M or P2V ULTRA camera into a desk visualiser for live modelling.
  • 3-joint arm with 360-degree rotation for flexible framing of pages, objects and demonstrations.
  • Quick magnetic attachment for easy switching between uses.
  • A lower-cost option for equipping several classrooms that already use these IPEVO cameras.

Supporting dyslexic learners

Many dyslexic pupils find copying from the board and tracking small print tiring. With the camera positioned over the page, a teacher can enlarge exactly what pupils are reading and point to each line in turn. Modelling a task step by step on screen also lightens the load on working memory, which many dyslexic learners appreciate.

Why visualisers support inclusive teaching

Enlarging print, modelling work and sharing pupils' examples are core visualiser techniques that fit Quality First Teaching and the graduated approach in the SEND Code of Practice. They also reflect the dyslexia-friendly principles promoted by the British Dyslexia Association, such as presenting information clearly and at a comfortable size.

Equip more classrooms

For schools rolling out IPEVO MP-8M or P2V ULTRA cameras across several rooms, the Camera Stand LITE offers an economical way to set each one up as a visualiser. The Dyslexia Shop can provide quotes for multiple units.
