A magnetic, hands-free phone arm for teaching and video calls

The IPEVO Uplift Magnetic Multi-Angle Arm is designed for iPhone 12 series and above and phone cases with a magnetic attachment feature. The phone snaps on in about a second and comes off with one hand. Teachers and SENCOs can use it to show books and worksheets on the board, record lessons or teach online, giving dyslexic learners clearer, enlarged views of the text they are working from.

How it helps

A strong N52 neodymium magnet holds phones up to 300 g. The three-joint aluminium alloy arm and 360-degree rotating holder allow flexible positioning in portrait or landscape. The arm extends from 22.6 cm folded to 41.5 cm, and a heavy steel base with an anti-slip silicone pad keeps it stable. For other smartphones, an adhesive magnetic circle is included to fit to the phone's case.

  • Quick, one-handed phone attachment that suits busy lessons.
  • Flexible positioning for showing desk work, demonstrations or the teacher on camera.
  • Stable on the desk thanks to the heavy steel base and anti-slip pad.
  • Supports online teaching and learning, presentations, streaming and recording.

Supporting dyslexic learners

Dyslexic pupils often find small print, copying from the board and long verbal instructions tiring. With a phone held above the page, a teacher can show the exact text pupils are reading, enlarged on screen, and work through it line by line. Recorded demonstrations also let pupils replay instructions at their own pace, easing the load on working memory.

Why visualisers support inclusive teaching

Enlarging print, live modelling and recorded explanations fit Quality First Teaching and the graduated approach in the SEND Code of Practice. They also reflect the dyslexia-friendly principles promoted by the British Dyslexia Association, such as presenting information clearly and at a comfortable size.

A flexible addition for staff

The Uplift Magnetic suits staff who already use an iPhone 12 or newer, or a phone in a magnetic case, and want a quick, stable hands-free setup. The Dyslexia Shop can provide quotes for multiple units.
