It is a standalone version of the Textured Spoon Tip, a well-established Z-Vibe attachment used in feeding therapy for over 15 years.

The proSpoon was designed by feeding therapist Debbie Lowsky, MS, CCC-SLP, to support easy feeding and food removal. The back of the spoon bowl has gentle bumps, which help with the transition from puréed to textured foods. These bumps also stimulate the tongue and lower lip and provide added tongue stability during feeding.

The proSpoon is available in two sizes. The small spoon measures 5.4 inches (13.7cm) long, with a 0.35 inch (0.9cm) diameter handle and a bowl measuring approximately 1.4 x 0.75 inches (3.6 x 1.9cm). This size suits infants and toddlers and works well with puréed foods such as yogurt, apple sauce or stage 1 baby foods. The large spoon measures 6 inches (15.2cm) long, with a 0.4 inch (1cm) diameter handle and a bowl measuring approximately 1.75 x 1 inches (4.4 x 2.5cm). This size suits older children through to adults, though adults may find the bowl a little smaller than a regular spoon.
