These durable phoneme frames are used for building words from 2 to 6 phonemes in length with foam magnetic letters.
Designed to be used with the Foam Magnetic Letters, print and cursive font, as displayed on our website.
Each phoneme frame provides an outline or template so that children can see that words are made up of different phonemes and that phonemes can be represented by one letter, or in the case of digraphs more than one letter.
This teaching approach is referred to extensively in the Letters and Sounds programme.
The variety of phoneme frame sizes means that children can begin with simple VC and CVC word forms, and build up to more complicated structures as their experience and confidence grows.
Each box contains 22 magnetic strips of different sizes - 2 x Two Frames, 8 x Three Frames, 6 x Four Frames, 4 x Five Frames, 2 x Six Frames.
