One in a series of eight simple yet effective games, designed by primary school teacher Christine Towndrow. This game helps students identify vowel sounds in 3 and 4 letter words.
The gameboard is a double-sided A3 size laminated card, with a game involving 3-letter words printed on one side, and a game involving 4-letter words on the other. Players choose a short vowel sound by throwing the dice (1 = ’a’, 2 = 'e', 3 = 'i', 4 = 'o', 5 = 'u' and 6 = miss a turn). They then place a counter on a picture which contains this sound. The first player to place all their counters on the board is the winner.
