This beautiful range of photographic, double-sided cards provides mnemonics for all the key letter-sounds of English (e.g. the grapheme igh on one side and a photograph of a light on the reverse). Hold each card up and ask the children to say the letter-sound. If the children don't respond, turn the card over to show the mnemonic.  Each card has the grapheme on one side, with its mnemonic on the other. This set covers the 44 Sounds of the English language taught at Phase 2 and 3 of the Letters and Sounds programme and the alternative graphemes of these sounds learnt at Phase Five
